You can also use Catnip a perennial herb which has same effect as the bay leaves have.
- Red wine is also very good remedy to get relief from cockroaches just pour 1/3 of red wine in a bowl and place it inside the kitchen cabinets or on kitchen slabs to keep away the cockroaches.
- Use Borax powder which is easily available at any chemist shop, sprinkled it around the house where you see the cockroaches as it is rough enough to hurt the cockroaches outer shell and once their outer shell get damaged they will not live for long. You can mix sugar powder with boric acid powder and keep them inside the cabinets to get rid of cockroaches.
- Keep empty egg shells inside the cabinets or just leave them on your kitchens slabs to get rid of cockroaches.
- Cloves a very useful spice can also be used to get rid of cockroaches permanently. Place few whole cloves inside the cabinets and see the magic. But do not forget to replace them after 5-6 days to prevent the cockroaches from entering the cabinets.
- Add little baking soda powder in a bowl and keep it in the cabinet and close them. Replace this bowl after 10-15 days.
- Sprinkle Diatomaceous earth in kitchen and around the house where you see cockroaches. It works in the same way as the Borax as it cuts the shell of the cockroach and they tied because of dehydration.
- To get rid of cockroaches just add two cups of Ammonia to the water and clean the floor or cabinets with this water.
